6th July 2026
Unfortunately both the Willow and the Stock Lakes are being over run with weed.
We are doing what we can to try and get as much weed out as possible but its hard work.
This will hopefully be addressed at the next work party, but going forward we will need to come up with a plan to keep the lakes fishable.
Work party achievements
Our dedicated work parties play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our fishing locations. Here you will find updates on the various jobs that have been completed.
We value the efforts of our members and want to keep everyone informed about the positive impact they have on our club.
Over the last two work parties we have been taking away tree's that are over hanging the lakes, this work will continue at the next work party.
We also started clearing the bank on the island lake to make it more accessible for people who like to cast close to the bank to fish.
The committee would like to thank all members for their hard work on this years work parties.

Eel's are being caught in both the Willow and Island lakes this year.
Most recently by Bob on Sundays match, as you can see from the picture there slippery little suckers and according to Bob they have some nice sharp teeth.
Louis Mcfeeters won the A Pope Shield, just pipping Bill Michell by 4 ounces, Louis won using method feeder tactics to the island and then catching on the short pole.
The next Match is the first of the Friday night series which will be on the Willow lake this Friday 12th June 2026, the draw is at 17:30 ALL ARE WELCOME.
